Job summary

gpac is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to lead estimates for local commercial and industrial electrical projects in the Canton, Ohio area. The role requires the ability to review plans, perform detailed takeoffs, and develop competitive project estimates.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of electrical estimating experience, a strong understanding of local pricing, and proficiency with estimating software such as Accubid, ConEst or McCormick.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of electrical estimating experience.
• Strong commercial and/or industrial electrical construction background.
• Ability to independently estimate projects from plans and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of electrical materials, labor, and installation methods.
• Experience with Accubid, ConEst, McCormick, or similar software.
• Strong understanding of local electrical construction and pricing.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimates for local commercial and industrial electrical projects.
• Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents.
• Complete detailed material and labor takeoffs.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Develop accurate and competitive project estimates.
• Identify project risks, exclusions, and opportunities.
• Develop bid strategies and final proposals.
• Work closely with Project Management, Operations, and company leadership.
• Manage multiple estimates and bid deadlines.
• Assist with project turnover after successful bids.
