Job summary

nVent is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to ensure accuracy, quality, and electrical build intent across schematic reviews, EBOM releases, and NEC compliance. You will collaborate with external engineering leads, support Production, and manage multiple active projects while maintaining design integrity.

The role emphasizes detailed documentation, EBOM and print releases, and selection considerations for long-lead materials and major electrical equipment to meet project schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical build, electrical systems, manufacturing support, or field-based electrical work.
• Solid knowledge of electrical theory and the ability to read detailed schematics and prints.
• Experience creating, reviewing, and releasing EBOMs; NEC knowledge.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accuracy and release of electrical schematic and EBOM documentation for assigned projects.
• Ensure NEC compliance and adherence to internal electrical standards in drawings and BOMs.
• Support Production by answering design questions during build and test phases.
• Collaborate with external engineering leads and cross-functional teams.
• Assist with long-lead material and major electrical equipment assessment.
