Job summary

Bergelectric Corp. is seeking an Electrical Assistant Project Manager in Phoenix, AZ. The role supports senior project managers in planning, procurement, scheduling, and project controls across electrical projects for commercial and institutional clients.

The position requires strong electrical knowledge, project coordination skills, and the ability to manage documentation, billing, and vendor relationships. This is a hands-on, fast-paced office role with on-site responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical/construction experience in a PM or project engineer role on commercial/institutional projects.
• BS in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Experience preparing take-offs and estimates for change orders.
• Advanced abilities in reading and interpreting plans and specifications.
• Knowledge of NECA codes and TIA standards.
• In-depth NEC/NFPA knowledge with strong problem-solving skills.
• Thorough knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/Visio/PowerPoint, Bluebeam, ChangeOrder, Accubid, and BOS.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering studies, change orders, estimating with engineers.
• Submit submittals and RFIs.
• Coordinate with owners/clients on specifications in planning stages.
• Work on projects in planning stages and coordinate with owners/clients.
• Track job costs and predict monthly revenue streams.
• Manage QA/QC on projects and safety compliance.
• Manage project documentation and communications.
• Assist with bid turnover, procurement, and close-out documents.
