Job summary

Bergelectric in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Project Engineer to assist in managing electrical construction projects from start-up to closeout under the guidance of a Project Manager. You will coordinate bid turnover, startup processes, material procurement, and on-site walkthroughs with field teams and general contractors.

Qualifications include 2+ years of electrical experience, strong plan interpretation, NEC/NECA/TIA knowledge, and proficiency with MS Office, Bluebeam, and Accubid.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical experience/knowledge of construction, design, and cost management for commercial/institutional/industrial projects.
• Advanced abilities in reading and interpreting plans and specifications.
• Knowledge of NEC and NECA codes and TIA standards.
• In-depth knowledge of NFPA codes and strong problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of scheduling, project management for construction, and electric materials is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Bluebeam, Accubid or other estimation software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with management of bid turnover and project startup process, blueprints/specifications, and materials procurement.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and federal/state laws; provide status updates and maintain documentation.
• Handle material requisition, submittal compilation, purchase orders, on-site walk-throughs, change orders and close-out documents.
• Assist in writing quotations/proposals and estimating projects; review contracts and set up projects in software.
• Maintain project documents using Bluebeam Studio and SharePoint.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors and clients.
• Coordinate project team—field supervision, resources, and support staff.
