Job summary

The role requires strong NEC/Life Safety code knowledge, solid project management experience, and the ability to drive design quality while maintaining schedules in a fast-paced environment. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in electrical design or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in electrical power, lighting, and systems design or design project management and PE experience.
• Skills to read, interpret and understand contracts, plans, drawings and specifications.
• Proficient and current regarding National Electrical Codes and Life Safety Codes.
• Extensive project management training and skills. Thorough understanding of the project life cycle.
• LEAN methodologies experience and strong process orientation.
• Demonstrated leadership, customer focus and decision-making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and client relations.

Responsibilities

• Support Preconstruction and Estimating during proposal to develop design ideas and concepts to win bids.
• Identify conflicts in bid documents and prepare RFIs to resolve issues.
• Assist teams with RFP compliance, design QC, budgets, and schedules.
• Monitor design evolution post-award with engineering partners to meet RFP goals.
• Keep informed on electrical and safety codes, materials, techniques and practices.
• Develop value-added options and ideas for projects.
• Build relationships with customers, project teams, contractors, vendors and users to reflect company values.
• Interface with customer representatives to ensure successful project completion.
