Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Project Engineer II to provide high-level technical coordination on electrical project tasks in support of the Project Manager. This exempt, individual-contributor role may be placed on a project site with limited customer and field interaction.

The position requires 1–2 years of electrical project engineering or estimating experience, a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 1–2 years of electrical project engineering or estimating experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office / O365 applications.
• Familiarity with project management and estimating software.
• Ability to understand and analyze electrical terminology, drawings, theory, etc.

Responsibilities

• Provide project engineering support to Project Managers with minimal supervision.
• Develop project schedules based on estimated hours, milestones, and criteria.
• Review plans and specifications for completeness and accuracy.
• Coordinate subcontractor scheduling and field coordination.
• Evaluate RFIs and review submittals for conformance to documents.
• Assist in change order estimates and project closeout activities.
