Job summary

MYR Group Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer I/II to support construction management in the electrical industry for projects nationwide. Responsibilities include examining drawings, preparing plans, and interfacing with senior management to aid in project execution.

The role requires 1–5 years in construction, a Bachelor’s in CM/CE or related field, and proficiency with MS Office, Bluebeam, and scheduling tools. Office or field work locations will vary, with regular attendance expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 1–5 years of experience in construction processes for commercial electrical operations or general construction.

Responsibilities

• Interpret construction drawings and specifications; update drawings as addenda are released.
• Maintain accurate As-Built drawings to turnover to owner at project completion.
• Assist with plan/spec reviews and prepare checklists for contract features.
• Prepare subcontractor/vendor agreements and manage activities.
• Assist with cost estimates and track change orders.
• Ensure accurate records and distribute information to field crews.
• Assist with project scheduling and daily/weekly reporting.
• Track and purchase materials, tools, and equipment for construction.
• Promote safety and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
• Inspect equipment, materials, workmanship, and conformance to specs.
