Job summary

Farnsworth Group, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer – Energy & Utilities to lead electrical design across industrial, oil & gas, renewable energy and other complex projects.

You will oversee multi‑project work, from schematics to final design, and coordinate with staff across disciplines. The role requires a PE license and 8–12+ years of experience in electrical design, with expertise in power distribution, controls, and medium‑voltage systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 8–12+ years of experience in technically complex electrical system design.
• Experience with industrial power distribution, controls, and medium‑voltage systems.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of NEC, NESC, IEEE standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for multiple projects from preliminary schematics through final design documents.
• Prepare construction drawings and specifications in coordination with staff and disciplines.
• Support power systems studies and apply results to design.
• Interface with clients, contractors, vendors and internal teams while managing budgets, schedules and quality.
• Mentor engineers, designers and drafters to foster collaboration.
