Job summary

EMCOR Group, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer in Portland, OR to support the project manager with submittals, RFIs, and document control.

The role involves close collaboration with field staff, procurement, and QA/QC processes to ensure project accuracy and timely closeouts. You will assist in takeoffs, vendor coordination, MOP development, and administration tasks while maintaining safety and quality standards on site.

Qualifications

• BSc/BA in construction management, engineering, or relevant field experience.
• Basic understanding of electrical construction and materials.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, Primavera P6 & Bluebeam.
• Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities

• Track submittals, RFIs and major equipment; maintain document control.
• Create/review submittals and RFIs; communicate changes to field staff.
• Manage MOPs development, QA/QC documents, and project closeouts.
• Assist in project buyouts: takeoffs, RFPs, bid leveling, vendor selection.
• Coordinate payroll, office orders, and project administration tasks.
