Job summary

Redmaneq in Portland, OR is seeking a Project Engineer (PE) to support the project manager in tracking submittals, RFIs and major equipment, and to oversee document control across the construction lifecycle. You will manage permits, takeoffs, RFI/submittal workflows, drawings, QA/QC documentation, and closeouts, while coordinating buyouts, MOP development, and field coordination.

This role requires strong organization, communication, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BSc/BA in construction management, engineering, or relevant field experience.
• Basic understanding of electrical construction and materials.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, Primavera P6 & Bluebeam.
• Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities

• Takeoffs and permit applications; ensure they are posted in current document set and communicate changes with field staff.
• RFI’s and submittals: create/review/request/submit; communicate changes with field staff.
• Drawings: ensure current versions; review changes and maintain complete document sets.
• QA/QC: create CX tracking log, print CX docs, provide to QA/QC; collect docs at closeout; review for missing items.
• Manage closeout documents: request from vendor, review for accuracy, track required docs, review as-built, attic stock.
• Assist in project buyouts: takeoffs, RFPs, bid leveling, vendor selection, issue PO, issue change orders.
• MOPs: develop, review for accuracy, update log; manage start dates for field coordination.
