Job summary

IMEG is seeking an Electrical Project Designer in Atlanta, GA to lead electrical design efforts for buildings and to collaborate with senior staff on larger projects. You will mentor staff, manage design activities, and ensure alignment with budgets and schedules.

You will contribute to housing, multifamily, commercial, and retail projects, focusing on energy-efficient design aligned with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Associates degree or BIM/Engineering certificate preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and design of electrical systems meeting code requirements and IMEG standards
• Document client design decisions and monitor progress against budget and scope
• Engage clients to gather requirements and maintain professional relationships
• Support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling
• Collaborate with senior engineers to develop practical, efficient solutions
• Conduct in-process reviews and apply quality-control processes
• Stay current on electrical engineering trends and emerging technologies
• Prioritize safety and mitigate electrical-system risks
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers on integrated solutions
• Identify project risks and oversee bidding and construction administration
