Job summary

IMEG in Minneapolis seeks an Electrical Designer to support the analysis, design, and oversight of electrical systems in buildings. You will work with engineers to develop solutions that help deliver positive outcomes for clients.

You will contribute to project budgets, documentation, quality control, and multidisciplinary coordination from design through delivery, within a team focused on healthcare, education, and high-performance MEP design aligned with industry standards.

Qualifications

3 years of experience minimum in building design consulting or construction
Associates degree or certificate in BIM or Engineering preferred

Responsibilities

Assist in the design and analysis of electrical systems for buildings using engineering software and tools
Create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations in accordance with code requirements and IMEG standards
Interact with clients to understand needs and communicate technical information effectively
Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication
Support consulting projects including planning and scheduling to meet deadlines
Document design decisions and client instructions while monitoring progress
Analyze low to medium complexity tasks with senior engineers to develop practical solutions
Participate in IMEG quality control processes to ensure designs meet standards
Stay current on industry trends and contribute to innovation efforts within IMEG
Prioritize safety and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions
