Job summary

CEC Companies in Texas on-site seeks a Construction Project Coordinator to support project managers with planning, cost control, subcontractor management, and quality oversight on electrical and general construction projects.

You will review drawings and specs, prepare submittals, track pay apps and change orders, assist bid evaluations, monitor deliverables, and coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors and crews to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; HS diploma acceptable.
• Minimum 2+ years in electrical/general construction project coordination or management.
• Journeyman Electrician’s License is a plus.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Bluebeam, Accubid, and scheduling software.
• Ability to read construction documents, specs, and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Supports project estimating, cost control, and schedule development with preconstruction teams.
• Coordinates scopes of work with drawings, specs, and project goals.
• Prepares and reviews submittals for accuracy and compliance.
• Analyzes pay apps, change orders, and other financial docs.
• Supports subcontractor bidding, evaluations, and award recommendations.
• Assists in contract administration and monitoring deliverables.
• Oversees time tracking and reporting with field staff.
• Coordinates with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors.
• Organizes project meetings to address coordination, materials, and labor.
• Drafts correspondence, reports, and meeting minutes.
• Maintains vendor contacts, material specs, and regulatory data.
• Assists with material procurement and delivery.
