Job summary

Helix Electric in Oakland, CA is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the project manager by planning, executing, and finalizing projects within schedule and budget. You will serve as liaison between field and office and help develop teams to deliver quality output.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of project engineer experience in electrical construction, strong scheduling knowledge, and ability to coordinate with construction management.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of Project Engineer experience in electrical construction.
• Understanding of engineering in electric power.
• Field experience coordinating with construction management.
• Extensive knowledge of project scheduling, bids, takeoffs, change orders, and contracts.
• Ability to develop relationships and assist in winning projects.
• Ability to run a profitable portfolio.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Close support of the senior project management team and assist in project delivery.
• Develop project teams while delivering on time, within scope, and budget.
• Support scheduling, procurement, and contractual requirements.
• Oversee invoicing and change orders per project terms.
• Coordinate with Site Superintendent(s) on installation methods and manpower forecasts.
• Communicate challenges, risks, and successes to stakeholders.
