Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a hands-on Preconstruction Manager - Electrical for industrial Data Center projects, bridging design and construction. The role involves coordinating with internal teams and contractors to prepare complete bid packages for site work.

Minimum 8 years in electrical engineering or 15 years in construction mgmt, with a Bachelor’s in engineering or equivalent, plus strong communication skills and knowledge of codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience.
• 8+ years experience in Electrical engineering or 15+ years in construction mgmt for industrial projects.
• General understanding of construction means, methods, codes and standards.
• Experience interpreting electrical design drawings for construction.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in resolving design and constructability concerns.
• Identify schedule and cost savings opportunities from existing design or modularization.
• Identify trade partners for early contractor engagement during design phase.
• Coordinate cross-discipline evaluation of electrical scope for sequencing and build-out.
• Identify risks for long lead construction activities and align with schedule.
