Job summary

Jacobs seeks an experienced Preconstruction Manager - Electrical to bridge design and construction on major industrial projects in the U.S. This role involves coordinating internal teams and contractors to craft comprehensive bid packages for on-site electrical work, with travel to ongoing data center projects as needed.

The ideal candidate has extensive electrical or construction management experience, strong drawing interpretation, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 8 years experience in Electrical engineering or 15 years in industrial construction management.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience.
• Strong understanding of codes and standards for construction.
• Ability to interpret electrical design drawings for construction.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to resolve design and constructability issues.
• Identify schedule and cost savings from design or modularization.
• Engage early with trade partners during design phase.
• Coordinate across disciplines for construction sequencing and scope.
• Assess risks for long lead activities and align with schedules.
• Develop and review bid packages for contractor awards.
• Review VDR submittals for constructability impacts.
