Job summary

Jacobs' Advanced Manufacturing group is seeking an experienced and hands on Preconstruction Manager - Electrical. The role bridges engineering design and construction for major industrial projects, developing construction bid packages and providing constructability insights for sequencing and on-site electrical work.

Responsibilities include leading design interpretation, coordinating with trade partners, developing the work breakdown structure, and reviewing vendor data submittals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience, including certified technical training.
• 8+ years in Electrical engineering or 15+ years in construction management for industrial projects.
• Understanding of construction means, methods, codes and standards.
• Experience interpreting electrical design drawings for construction.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership resolving design and constructability concerns on technical drawings and specs.
• Identify schedule and cost savings opportunities from design or modularization options.
• Identify trade partners for early contractor engagement during design.
• Organize cross-discipline evaluation of electrical scope for construction sequencing.
• Identify long-lead risks and align with design and construction schedules.
• Develop and review bid packages for contractor awards based on design.
• Coordinate stakeholders for full construction work breakdown structure development.
• Assist with vendor data submittals reviews for constructability impacts.
