Job summary

Jacobs seeks an experienced Preconstruction Manager - Electrical to bridge engineering design and construction on major industrial projects. Travel up to 50% across SC, LA, TX with offices nationwide; near a U.S. office is preferred.

The role focuses on constructability, sequencing, and bid package development, ensuring full scope coverage. Requires strong leadership, design interpretation, and coordination across teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in electrical engineering or 15+ years in industrial construction management.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience.
• General understanding of construction means, methods, codes and standards.
• Experience interpreting electrical drawings and specs for construction.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to resolve constructability concerns in design.
• Identify opportunities for schedule and cost savings.
• Engage trade partners early in design phase.
• Coordinate cross-discipline evaluation of electrical scope for sequencing.
• Develop construction bid packages for contractor award.
• Review Vendor Data Requirements (VDR) submittals for constructability.
