Arlington County Government is seeking an Electrical Power Technician I/II to join the Department of Environmental Services. The role covers maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex electrical systems at the Wastewater Treatment Plant and associated lift stations.

Responsibilities include field diagnostics, CMMS-based planning, and leading projects while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Successful completion of the County's in-house training program.
• Three (3) years of experience assisting with electrical preventive and corrective maintenance; one (1) year in an industrial setting with MV 600V–4160V systems.
• Five (5) years of experience independently performing electrical preventive and corrective maintenance; three (3) years in MV 600V–4160V environments.
• NEC Master's Electrician License; Confined Space Entry certification.

Responsabilités

• Perform predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance using CMMS and diagnostic tools.
• Perform maintenance, repair and reconditioning of electrical equipment.
• Analyze system failures to determine root cause and plan follow-up actions.
• Lead projects and coordinate with other agencies or contractors.
• Train staff and evaluate complex electrical systems to identify maintenance needs and project plans.

NEC Master's Electrician License

Confined Space Entry certification
