Job summary

Anne Arundel County is seeking an Electrical Technician I in the Department of Public Works, Bureau of Utilities, to support maintenance of electrical systems in wastewater and water facilities. Qualifications

• Graduation from high school and 1+ year electrical experience.
• Qualified to enter or successful completion of an electrical apprenticeship program registered with the Maryland Apprenticeship and Training Council.
• Valid non-commercial Class C motor vehicle operator license.
• Preference given to candidates with PLC and VFD experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance on electrical systems in wastewater and potable water facilities.
• Install basic electrical components and circuits and assist with troubleshooting.
• Inspect operating conditions and electrical equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Support senior technicians with advanced maintenance tasks as needed.
