Job summary

Core States Group is seeking an Electrical Power Systems Engineer in Bentonville, AR. This full-time role supports our Architecture and Engineering unit, focusing on end-of-life analyses, short circuit coordination, arc flash analyses, and related calculations within the Power Systems team.

You will coordinate with site, civil, mechanical, and architectural disciplines to produce electrical construction documents that meet client requirements and code standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in electrical power systems design for commercial projects.
• PE license is required.
• Revit is required.
• AutoCAD and SKM PowerTools are a plus.
• Familiar with switchgear, MCCs, generators, VFDs, UPS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Produce electrical design plans, calculations, reports, and construction documents with limited direction.
• Resolve complex electrical design challenges related to power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, code compliance, constructability, and coordination with other disciplines.
• Conduct site feasibility research and site visit investigations.
• Generate reports and recommendations based on findings.
• Coordinate the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout the design development and contract document phases of a project.
• Develop and mentor electrical engineering staff through technical guidance, project feedback, and support of professional growth.
• Lead production staff through assigned tasks and review work for accuracy, completeness, coordination, and quality.
• Other related responsibilities as necessary to fulfill the objectives of this role.
