Job summary

Core Group Resources seeks an experienced electrical engineer to transform product and solution requirements into comprehensive electrical system designs. You will define power architecture, select major components (inverters, BESS, transformers), and ensure performance, efficiency, and reliability under real-world conditions.

The role combines hands-on design with collaboration across controls and mechanical teams to optimize manufacturability and future technology directions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 8+ years of electrical systems design experience.
• Strong understanding of AC/DC power systems.
• Experience with electrical load calculations and equipment sizing.
• Familiarity with industry safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Design complete electrical power system architectures for mission-critical applications.
• Develop system-level electrical designs based on customer requirements.
• Perform electrical load analysis, power calculations, and equipment sizing.
• Select and specify major electrical components (inverters, BESS, transformers, switchgear).
• Evaluate power flow, efficiency, fault current, and thermal loading.
• Collaborate with controls and mechanical teams to optimize integration.
• Support prototype development, testing, validation, and field commissioning.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical leadership.
• Develop one-line diagrams, specifications, and detailed design calculations.
• Research emerging technologies in electrical power systems and energy infrastructure.
