Job summary

Carolina Cat is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to perform electrical field service, maintenance, and repair on power systems and generators. You will troubleshoot PLCs, DC/AC systems, and coordinate with customers to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Qualified candidates have 2–3 years in electrical field service, a high school diploma or higher, and a valid driver's license. AAS/BAS in Electrical Engineering preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; 2-3 years in electrical power generation or related field service preferred.
• Customer-oriented, self-starter with ability to work in critical environments.
• Must have valid state driver's license and be available for emergency calls.

Responsibilities

• Electrical field service activities including preventive maintenance, modifications, repair and system checkout.
• Troubleshooting and diagnostics of PLCs, power control and automation.
• Inspect, test, and repair low/medium voltage power systems and distribution switchboards.
• Document work clearly in service reports in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with other systems and perform start-up installations as needed.
• Ensure OSHA safety rules compliance and maintain a clean driving record.
