Job summary

The Campbell Soup Company in Downers Grove, IL is seeking an Electrical PLC Technician to ensure safe, reliable plant production and utility systems. Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum of two (2) years of industrial electrical, automation, controls, or electromechanical maintenance experience and/or training.
• Minimum of two (2) years of PLC programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years of HMI troubleshooting and support experience.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety programs, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot, repair, install, maintain, and modify electrical, electromechanical, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues up to 600V single-phase and three-phase.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and corrective repairs on equipment.
• Identify and implement upgrades to electrical and control installations.
• Document equipment, power systems, and control drawings.
• Support standardization using Allen-Bradley PLCs, drives, and HMIs.
• Perform startups, checkouts, calibration, and wiring validation.
• Reload PLCs after outages; manage power testing.
• Size conductors, install wiring, and support electrical infrastructure projects.
• Assist mechanical maintenance and provide tech guidance to teams.
• Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs, HMIs, motor controls, VFDs, servo systems, and industrial networks.
• Utilize manuals, P&IDs, schematics, and safety docs to diagnose issues.
• Maintain spare parts inventories; participate in continuous improvement.
• Contribute to training programs on controls and maintenance practices.
