Summary

The Electrical Outside Salesperson is responsible for increasing sales and profit through the acquisition and development of new business, maintaining existing business and providing excellent customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• New Business Development
  • Sales volume and profit are increased by acquiring new accounts.
• Increase Sales
  • Sales & profits are increased by introducing new products, increasing individual customers’ sales volumes, and retaining customer loyalty.
• Customer Service
  • Customer loyalty is maintained by providing Coburn’s exceptional level of customer service as measured through increased sales and profits, customer retention, customer feedback and/or satisfaction ratings.
• Knowledge Development
  • Knowledge is developed and maintained in order to increase credibility with customers, as measured through increased sales and customer loyalty.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent AND 1 year of the following experience is required:

• Outside Sales Experience
• Electrical Industry Experience
• Progressive Industry Experience
• Ability to read blueprints preferred
• Must possess basic computer skills and the ability to read a map and/or follow written directions
• Must pass company required drug screen and physical
• Must be a minimum age of 21 years old and maintain a valid driver’s license and have the ability to travel to Coburn’s customer and company branch locations

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs; must have physical mobility and dexterity to frequently stand, bend, push, twist, kneel, climb, squat, stoop, and reach overhead; occasionally works with tools and equipment; must wear closed-toe shoes, gloves, and other protective items as required; work in varying weather conditions
• A consistent presence at work is required
• In order to operate a forklift, the operator must be a minimum age of 18 years old and successfully complete Coburn’s Forklift Operator Certification
