Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) seeks an Electrical Nuclear Facilities Engineer to join the Engineering Services Division and support LANSCE Facilities Operations Engineering Group. You will assess, maintain, and upgrade facility systems at the accelerator and supporting facilities, including outages, design reviews, and interface tasks.

Qualifications

• Combined engineering design/maintenance experience for facility electrical systems (switchgear, MCCs, feeders).
• Knowledge of National Codes and Standards (IBC, IEBC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA).
• Understanding of electrical engineering principles and facility interfaces.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, maintain, and upgrade facility power distribution systems.
• Lead development/review of electrical designs for new/replace equipment.
• Interface with other disciplines and customers to establish design requirements and scope.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive process improvements.
