Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is seeking an Electrical Nuclear Facilities Engineer to join the Engineering Services Division, supporting the Los Alamos Neutron Science Center (LANSCE) Facilities Operations Engineering Group (ES-LFO). You will be working as part of a system engineering team assessing, maintaining, and upgrading facility systems at the LANSCE accelerator and supporting facilities. Specific tasks will include facility and system assessments, maintenance support, field walk downs, developing technical baseline documentation, outage support, design development and review, and facility system interface.
This position will be filled at either the Nuclear Facilities Engineer 2 or 3 level, depending on the skills and experience of the selected candidate. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if the candidate is hired at the higher level.
Position requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering and a minimum three (3) years of practical experience to the degree necessary to perform the responsibilities outlined above.

The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management.
Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. If an employee has not served the time required, they may only apply for Laboratory jobs with the documented approval of their Division Leader. The position commitment for this position is 1 year.

The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
