Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join the Engineering Services Division. You will contribute to the Conduct of Engineering program, supporting modifications and installations across LANL facilities.

The role offers progression between Engineer 3 and Engineer 4 levels and requires strong experience in electrical design, standards compliance, and project execution. On-site work in Los Alamos, NM is expected.

Qualifications

• Broad-based engineering experience with electrical design for facilities and facility modifications.
• 6+ years in engineering principles, codes, and standards (NEC, NFPA, IEEE).
• 6+ years developing drawings, specs, calculations, TIPs, and SSIs.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior engineering expertise and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Assess and upgrade structural systems to support national security.
• Develop conceptual and detailed designs ensuring code compliance and customer needs.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for design and construction activities.
• Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and revise documents.
