Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is seeking a Mechanical, I&C, or Structural Engineer to join the Engineering Services Division, supporting the LANSCE Facilities Operations Engineering Group. You will assess, maintain, and upgrade facility systems at the LANSCE accelerator and supporting facilities, performing design development and outage support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• Minimum three years' practical experience for Engineer II or six years for Engineer III.
• Knowledge of DOE standards and design/maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Assess, maintain, and upgrade facility systems and components.
• Lead development and review of engineering designs for new or replacement equipment.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and customers to establish requirements, scope, and cost.
• Support outages and field activities, including walk-downs and interface management.
