Job summary

Austin Commercial seeks an MEP Superintendent (Electrical background) to lead on the Houston, TX project. The role requires strong on-site leadership, coordination of complex MEP systems, and cross-functional collaboration with owners, architects, and subcontractors.

With a focus on safety, quality, and timely delivery, you will guide shop drawing reviews, maintain construction standards, and manage manpower across multiple trades to keep the project on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of commercial construction field experience with direct supervision and MEP exposure.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training completed or obtainable within first year.
• Proficient in reading plans and specs, with strong coordination of subs.

Responsibilities

• Lead MEP coordination across electrical/mechanical disciplines on site.
• Review shop drawings for completeness, codes compliance, and constructability.
• Coordinate with owners, architects and subcontractors, outlining work and phasing.
• Ensure timely submittals and quality workmanship; resolve field issues quickly.
• Manage daily/weekly district activities and allocate manpower for each phase.
• Collaborate with city inspectors and ensure safety standards are met.
