Job summary

Austin Commercial, part of Austin Industries, is seeking an MEP Superintendent for its Phoenix, AZ Division to lead field supervision and coordinate mechanical, electrical/controls, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection installations. You will align underground and building utilities with construction schedules and serve as the primary liaison with subcontractors, architects, owners, and city officials.

Qualifications

BS in construction management/science, engineering or equivalent
5-8 years of commercial construction field experience
OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training required
Proficient reading of plans and specs
Ability to build and manage direct reports

Responsibilities

Leads day-to-day field construction activities on assigned jobsite
Oversees safety plans and procedures on site
Reviews submittals, shop drawings, and schedules to determine materials and manpower
Plans daily and weekly activities for each craft within the project schedule
Directs field engineers in survey and layout, ensuring accuracy before foundation work begins
Maintains daily activity reports and ensures high-quality workmanship
