Job summary

Baxter International Inc. in Indiana Batesville is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to maintain, troubleshoot, and install a range of electrical and mechanical equipment across the facility, including motors, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems.

You will work with production operators and engineers to minimize downtime, perform preventive maintenance, read blueprints, and update maintenance records while following safety rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two-year technical college or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience with motors, conveyors, pumps, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Experience with electrical systems and controls; basic PLC troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS such as Maximo.

Responsibilities

• Fix, maintain, and install equipment to keep operations running smoothly.
• Read wiring diagrams, blueprints, manuals to identify problems.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and document activities.
• Repair electrical and mechanical components, including motors and conveyors.
• Update maintenance records and support installation of new equipment.
• Work with vendors and service technicians to troubleshoot issues.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and areas are kept clean.
