Stewart & Stevenson is hiring an Electrical Manufacturing Operations Supervisor in Houston, TX. The role oversees daily mechanical assembly, ensures safety and quality, and drives continuous improvement while coordinating with production leadership.

The supervisor leads assembly personnel, balances workloads to meet goals, and maintains accurate labor tracking in the ERP system. Strong English proficiency and 5–10 years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 5–10 years of related experience.
• Strong knowledge of ASME Standards.
• Reading blueprints and interpreting technical drawings.
• Experience supervising 20+ personnel.
• Experience with engine rebuild/repair, power transmissions, mechanical/hydraulic repair and rebuild, air/hydraulic systems, and Oilfield equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily mechanical assembly operations and oversee workload distribution.
• Lead pre-shift meetings to set expectations and assign tasks.
• Track labor in ERP and monitor productivity.
• Provide guidance to shop leads and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Analyze work orders and blueprints to determine material needs and sequence operations.
• Communicate progress to Production Manager and coordinate with planning.
• Order shop supplies as required and drive continuous improvement.
