Job summary

Stewart & Stevenson is hiring a Mechanical Manufacturing Operations Supervisor to oversee the mechanical assembly production in Houston, TX. You will lead the assembly team, balance workloads, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards to meet daily production goals.

This role requires 5–10 years of related experience, strong blueprint reading skills, and experience with the Oracle ERP system. You will drive continuous improvement and report to the Production Manager.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 5–10 years of related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Experience supervising 20+ personnel in a manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of ASME standards and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the mechanical assembly production team.
• Manage workload distribution to meet production targets.
• Conduct daily pre-shift meetings to set expectations and tasks.
• Track labor in ERP (Oracle) and ensure efficiency.
• Provide leadership and guidance to shop leads and staff for quality and safety.
• Review work orders and blueprints to plan supplies and sequence tasks.
• Communicate project progress to Production Manager.
