Job summary

Transmission & Distribution World is seeking an Electrical/Manufacturing Engineer to support lean manufacturing initiatives within assigned cells in a Minnesota facility. You will implement ECNs, assign inventory locations, create standard work instructions, and coordinate capital upgrades while maintaining cell layouts and production readiness.

Ideal candidates will hold a four-year degree in Manufacturing or Electrical Engineering, possess strong Excel skills, and have experience with

Qualifications

• Four-year Manufacturing/Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology degree is required.
• Lean certification or equivalent experience is beneficial.
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing engineering support within assigned cells.
• Lead or participate in cell meetings and plant metrics reviews.
• Review ECNs and support production implementation.
• Create standard work instructions and train personnel.
• Update layouts and support capital/equipment upgrades.
• Facilitate lean initiatives (5S, value stream mapping, setup reduction).
• Verify routings and process planning changes as needed.
• Participate in internal audits and supplier approvals.
