Smurfit WestRock is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for the Lancaster, PA area. The 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) position focuses on troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to quickly restore performance and interpret European and U.S.
schematics for diagnostics. Responsibilities include repairing AC/DC motors and PLC‑controlled equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and maintaining logs.

Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to quickly restore equipment performance.
Interpret European and U.S. electrical schematics to diagnose issues and guide repairs.
Repair AC/DC motors, drives, servo systems, and PLC‑controlled equipment to maintain reliable operations.
Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime, including inspections, lubrication, part replacement, and calibration.
Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
Collaborate with maintenance leadership and team members to complete repairs safely and efficiently.
Support continuous improvement by identifying root causes, recommending solutions, and enhancing equipment reliability.

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong electrical background, including:
AC/DC motor and drive troubleshooting
PLC troubleshooting and programming
Ability to read European and U.S. electrical schematics
Mechanical repair experience (bearings, seals, gears, belts, pneumatic systems).
Ability to operate computer‑based monitoring and control systems.
Ability to lift/move 50+ lbs with assistance and perform physical tasks such as standing, climbing, kneeling, crawling, and overhead work.
Ability to work flexible hours and shifts in a continuous‑run environment.
Strong safety mindset and ability to complete pre‑task analysis forms.
Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Technical degree or trade school certification.
7+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
Experience in corrugated manufacturing.
Experience calibrating pneumatic systems and maintaining industrial tools.
Familiarity with OEM equipment standards and high‑speed production environments.
Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.
