IREN US Operations in Sweetwater, Texas, seeks an Electrical Lead to own the electrical systems powering data centers, ensuring 24/7 uptime and safety in a high-stakes environment.

Role requires extensive HV experience, leadership, and ability to coordinate with utilities and vendors while maintaining NEC/NFPA 70E and NERC compliance. Onsite work with shift premiums and a strong benefits package is offered.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician License required.
• Minimum 10 years of electrical experience, incl. 4+ in leadership or senior technical authority roles.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution, transformers, switchgear, protection systems, and backup power.
• Experience with high-voltage operations.

Aufgaben

• Serve as the site electrical authority for power systems from utility interconnection to computing loads.
• Own overall electrical system performance, availability, and risk management.
• Establish site-level electrical strategies to support capacity growth and reliability targets.
• Lead and mentor the Electrical Maintenance Lead.
• Provide direction to electrical teams to ensure safety and operational goals.
• Drive a strong safety culture through leadership and accountability.
• Oversee maintenance strategies across all electrical systems.
• Review maintenance plans and LOTO practices.
• Act as escalation point for complex electrical issues.
• Collaborate with internal/external teams on substation operations and major maintenance events.
• Serve as liaison for utilities, OEMs, testing vendors, and inspectors.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, NERC, OSHA.
• Collaborate on electrical upgrades and load growth planning.
• Review designs, one-lines, and equipment specs for safety and operability.
• Support commissioning and turnover of new electrical infrastructure.
• Adhere to electrical safety programs, arc flash mitigation, LOTO.
• Review investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain CMMS data and performance reporting.
