Job summary

IREN is seeking an HPC Mechanical Manager to oversee daily operations of the HPC infrastructure within the data center in Sweetwater, TX. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and technicians, ensuring uptime, safety, and scalable performance in a 24/7 environment.

The role requires extensive experience in critical infrastructure, leadership, and hands-on capability with electrical safety, LOTO, and high-voltage systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in critical infrastructure operations.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
• Certification or ability to document 8,000 trade hours and TDLR exam readiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture across operations and contractors.
• Maintain uptime of critical infrastructure including HV substations, UPS, generators and cooling plants.
• Manage 24/7 coverage workforce with clear performance expectations.
• Coordinate energized work planning, LOTO and permit processes.
• Ensure operations documentation and field controls are up-to-date.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Construction for energization and expansion milestones.
