Job summary

Draper in Cambridge, MA is seeking a System Integration and Test Engineer (SMTS) to plan, execute, and manage I&T activities through concept development to system certification. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure verifiable requirements and robust, testable designs.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in engineering and 5–7 years in systems engineering, with preference for EE, HWIL, avionics, optical test, or inertial sensor test experience.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field.
• 5-7 years in Systems Engineering or a related role.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of assignments and guide others as needed, tracking priorities, scope, cost and schedule.
• Derive plans and procedures for solving complex I&T problems across a program lifecycle.
• Contribute high-quality technical content for reports and presentations for diverse audiences.
• Present technical information clearly during meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify program or system-level risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and provide constructive feedback.
