Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer focused on Electrical Integration within the main cabin seating team in Winston-Salem. You will design major components and systems, develop data, and create layouts, sketches, and notes for proposals while considering manufacturability, materials, and cost.

The role involves integrating electrical components, preparing drawings in NX, and ensuring FAA and certification readiness through testing and collaboration with vendors and project

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM degree and typically 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Design experience with electrical integration in aerospace is preferred.
• Proficiency with CAD and engineering tools for design and testing.

Responsibilities

• Integrate electrical components and wiring into designs meeting vendor/OEM requirements.
• Prepare work statements and release drawings (NX) for fit, form and function.
• Evaluate materials and parts for new designs and supplier communication.
• Lead/outsource resources in electrical integration and participate in design reviews.
