Georgia-Pacific Corrugated in Albany, GA is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join the Maintenance team. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and installation of plant electrical, instrumentation and automation equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of manufacturing electrical/instrumentation experience, with PLCs, HMIs, DCS, and electrical schematics proficiency.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years or more of electrical or instrument and control troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial controls PLCs, motor controls, control valves, electrical distribution, Servo Systems, and DC/AC motors 24–480 V.
• Expert level experience reading electrical/mechanical schematics and blueprints.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70 arc flash safety and OSHA regulations for electrical work.
• Hands-on experience installing, calibrating, monitoring, modifying, programming, and maintaining HMI and DCS instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair, perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and installation of plant electrical, electronic, instrumentation and automation equipment.
• Proficiently use specialized software to maintain instrumentation, PLCs, HMIs and DCS control systems.
• Install, calibrate, monitor, modify, program, and maintain PLC, HMI and DCS instrumentation.
• Read electrical diagrams, schematics and drawings to support maintenance activities.
• Use specialized tools to repair motors, drives, and voltage systems; ensure safe operation.
• Manage EI projects for new or existing installations and mentor peers.
