Job summary
Georgia-Pacific in Olympia, WA seeks an Automation Controls Specialist to ensure smooth operation of automation and control systems across production lines. You will own control engineering projects, program PLCs, and configure HMIs and drives, while supporting instrument and electrical infrastructure for corrugated product manufacturing.

Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in Process Control or Automation Technology.
- 3+ years of experience with industrial instrumentation, PLC programming and automation & controls.
Responsibilities
- Ensure proper operation of all automation and control systems.
- Own projects for control engineering related jobs.
- Perform PLC programming and set up HMI, VFD, and controllers.
- Automation engineering and design.
- Test and commission control systems.
- Train internal GP customers to use and maintain systems.
- Reduce downtime by identifying and correcting issues.
- Maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation, PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, Rexroth, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Eaton, ABB, Lenze, and three phase motors with controls.
