Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Corrugated facility in Augusta, GA seeks an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join our Maintenance team. Role starts at $45.32/hr with overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, calibration, and installation of plant electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems; maintaining PLC, HMI, and DCS controls; and mentoring peers across EI&A disciplines.

Qualifications

Five or more years of electrical or instrument and control troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
Experience troubleshooting PLCs, motor controls, control valves, electrical distribution, and DC/AC motors (24 VDC–480 VDC).
Expert level ability reading electrical schematics/blueprints.
Knowledge of NFPA 70 arc flash electrical safety and OSHA regulations.
Experience installing, calibrating, monitoring and maintaining HMI and DCS instrumentation.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate plant electrical, electronic, instrumentation and automation equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve downtime events quickly and effectively.
Support operations in maintaining machines at centerline conditions and standard speeds.
Identify and initiate maintenance repairs to sustain equipment performance.
Install, calibrate, monitor, modify, program, and maintain PLC, HMI and DCS control instrumentation.
Read electrical diagrams and schematics to diagnose issues.
Mentor/Train peers to bridge knowledge gaps between Multi-Craft and EI&A focuses.
