Job summary

Reworld is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to maintain, diagnose, and repair power plant equipment including boilers, switchgear, and control systems. You will work across LV/MV equipment, DCS, CEMS, and energy-from-waste systems, ensuring safe and reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Electrical maintenance and testing across low/medium voltage equipment.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair instrumentation and control systems.
• Experience with DCS, CEMS, and utility-scale control equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and testing of low and medium voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, motor starters, and power transformers.
• Perform maintenance of higher voltage switchyard equipment and steam turbine driven generators.
• Perform electrical maintenance work related to energy from waste boilers and its associated equipment, including pumps, fans, motors, conveyors & refuse cranes.
• Perform electrical maintenance work related to energy from waste air pollution control systems.
• Troubleshoot, inspect, and adjust the Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (CEMS) and all instrumentation (flow, level, temp, gas analysis).
• Troubleshoot and adjust Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and historian devices.
• Perform preventative maintenance (calibration, thermography, ultrasonic testing).
• Operate calibration equipment and perform maintenance following safety practices.
• Complete maintenance records and participate in plant shutdowns as needed.
