Job summary

Veolia is seeking an Electrical/Instrumentation Technician to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a range of instrumentation and electrical equipment to ensure optimal machine performance. The role requires adherence to health, safety, and regulatory standards and involves documenting work and supporting failure analysis.

Responsibilities include calibration of analyzers and probes, preventive maintenance, and ordering parts as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of work experience.
• State Journeyman's Electrical License required.
• 24-hour HAZWOPER Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair existing problems using electrical testers and devices to identify causes.
• Dismantle electrical devices to access and replace defective parts, reassemble, and test performance.
• Repair/replace control instruments and interpret diagrams to fix issues.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work and forward logs to supervisor.
• Assist with equipment failure analysis and reporting.
• Set up and check preventive systems (generators, cathodic protection, analyzer gas equipment) to ensure safety.
• Calibrate stack analyzers, pH probes, and oxygen analyzers; replace filters and regulators.
• Order parts and maintain inventories for ongoing electrical/instrumentation maintenance.
