Job summary

Veolia North America seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance, installation or repairs across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing areas in a highly regulated environment. The role requires following safety policies, reading blueprints, and using various tools and CMMS software to log work orders.

The position emphasizes routine maintenance, minor repairs, and collaboration with a team to keep plants running efficiently.

Qualifications

• High school or GED with ability to read, write and comprehend English and follow instructions.
• Six months to two years of related experience with ability to read specs, blueprints and manuals.
• Experience using power, pneumatic, hydraulic and hand tools and shop tools (drill press, band saw, bench grinder, torque wrench).
• Experience using material handling equipment, pressure gauges and precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and preventive maintenance, lubrication and minor adjustments on machines and related equipment.
• Learns to inspect and troubleshoot mechanical systems and replace defective parts.
• Performs facility maintenance including light fixture replacement, painting, and general repairs.
• Operates vehicles for plant operational purposes and supports safety and environmental policies.
• Assists in estimating time and material costs for projects.
