Job summary

Hargrove is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer in Longview, TX. The role involves designing electrical and instrumentation systems, performing calculations, and producing construction-ready drawings under general supervision.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of experience, a BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, and PE registration preferred. On-site startup support and coordination with multi-discipline teams are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and application of the current version of the NEC.
• Familiarity with specifications and installation details of construction bulk materials and equipment.
• Ability to perform lighting level calculations.
• Ability to size wire, conduit and overcurrent protection for both lighting and power applications.
• Ability to route conduit and cable tray.
• Proficient in CAD drafting standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete electrical and instrumentation designs.
• Produce detail design calculations and sketches for materials of construction.
• On-site startup support.
• Review vendor drawings for electrical/instrumentation input.
• Develop construction specifications and submittals.
• Coordinate with design leaders from other disciplines.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and drafters.
