Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors seeks an Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer to design and deliver electrical systems for industrial projects. The role emphasizes NEC compliance, instrumentation discipline, and collaboration with multiple engineering teams.

Responsibilities include performing calculations, preparing sketches and drawings, reviewing vendor submittals, and supporting field inspections and startup activities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and application of NEC (National Electrical Code)
• Ability to size wire, conduit and overcurrent protection
• Ability to perform voltage drop calculations
• Familiarity with ISA standards for instrumentation and controls
• Develop equipment specifications and data sheets for instrumentation and control systems

Responsibilities

• Perform complete electrical and instrumentation designs under supervision.
• Produce design calculations and sketches for steel and electrical construction.
• Check vendor drawings and other discipline drawings for input.
• Provide field data collection and construction support as needed.
• Assist drafting with layout problems and ensure drawings meet project standards.
• Develop construction specifications and material quantities for procurement.
