Job summary

Convergint is seeking an Electrical Installer to join our Wichita, KS team. This full-time role will install, program, test, repair, and service a variety of systems including security, fire alarm and life-safety with minimal guidance. You will collaborate with customers and colleagues to provide technical installation support and training.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and wiring access control, network cameras, door hardware, panel installation & wiring, and programming of door and camera additions.
• Solid Construction Skills and understanding of system plans.
• Strong customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to meet customer needs.
• Solid verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, repairs, and service a variety of systems and equipment including security, fire alarm & life safety, and building automation with minimal guidance.
• Work with customers and internal colleagues to provide technical installation support and training.
• Interpret manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repair equipment using electronics knowledge and test instruments.
• Take ownership of onsite projects ensuring safety, quality, and performance in line with Convergint standards.
• Progress through the trade program toward Electrical Installer III.
