Job summary
Convergint is seeking a full-time Electrical Installer to install, program, test, repair, and service security, fire alarm and life-safety systems with minimal guidance. You will collaborate with customers and teammates to provide technical installation support and training.
The role offers growth within Convergint's culture and values. Requirements include 3–5 years in electronic security or related fields, construction experience, and a valid driver's license.
Qualifications
- Experience installing and wiring access control, network cameras, door hardware, panel installation & wiring, and programming of door and camera additions.
- Solid Construction Skills and understanding of system plans.
- Solid understanding of blueprints, design drawings including wiring and labeling methods.
- Strong customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Install, program, test, repairs, and service security, fire alarm & life safety systems with minimal guidance.
- Provide technical installation support and training to customers and colleagues.
- Interpret manuals and wiring diagrams; repair equipment using electronics knowledge and test instruments.
- Take ownership of onsite projects ensuring safety, quality, and Convergint standards.
- Assist or train less experienced Electrical Installers and escalate complex issues.
